HARDWOOD CASEMENT

  • Complete dry glazing system - high strength double sided adhesive glazing foam prevents removal of glass from outside - gasket on beads provides external seal
  • High strength finger jointing on all sashes and main frame corners
  • Factory finished in Sovereign AQ white or Sikkens Cetol light oak, dark oak or mahogany microporous stain for less and easier maintenance, or finished in any colour in Dulux Weathershield Gloss.
  • 24mm sealed units with 16mm cavity for superb noise and thermal insulation
  • With low-e high performance thermal glass as standard to comply with Building Regulations
  • Glass and Glazing Federation and FENSA Approved (on all our installations)
  • 10 year guarantee on frames (on all our installations)

HARDWOOD BOX SASH

Birch Joinery box sash windows are traditional in every sense except they eliminate the draughts and rattles that are often associated with the traditional version.

 

  • Manufactured using high quality meranti hardwood (but available in almost any kind of timber, i.e. softwood, oak, etc.)

  • Built with pre-stretched nylon cords, lead weights, brass pulleys and sash lifts to enable easy operation

  • Finger-jointed to give optimum strength

  • Fully weather-sealed

  • Fitted with locking fitch catch and internally beaded for extra security

  • Available with or without shaped horns to sashes and 25mm georgian bar to match period required

  • Factory finished as standard in Sovereign AQ white microporous stain or Sikkens Cetol 'light oak', 'dark oak' or 'mahogany' microporous stain. (but can be finished in almost any colour mixed in Dulux Weathershield)

  • Available double glazed with Pilkington 'K' low emissivity glass to give thermal efficiency required in line with current Building Regulations; or available single glazed if required by planning

  • Size and styles made to suit your particular needs

Usually we use meranti high quality hardwood for our windows.  But we can use just about any timber.

Recently we've used utile, oak, iroko, joinery grade softwood.  Just ask and we can probably source it.

PVC-U WINDOWS

  

Our PVC-u are not produced in our factory here in Whitby, but are made just a few minutes down the road by SWC Trade Frames of Scarborough (see http://www.swctradeframes.co.uk).

They use 'System 10' section produced by WHS-Halo (see http://www.whs-halo.co.uk)
